FAQs

What products do you sell?

Mandala VGF operates out of a commercial kitchen facility where no ingredients containing either gluten or animal protein are allowed! Hence the ‘VGF’ in our name which stands for ‘Vegan Gluten Free’ (or maybe just ‘Very Good Food’!). Our kitchen facility is new, with new cooking and baking equipment to minimise any potential cross contact and cross contamination.

Mandala VGF currently manufactures a wide range of foods, savoury and sweet, including a range of hot and cold takeaway lunches and frozen meals (large and small sizes)  at our facility in Wynnum in Brisbane QLD. We are continually extending this range of gluten free and plant-based products.

How long do your products stay fresh?

All Mandala VGF products are freshly made every day. We do not add preservatives to any of our foods so we recommend you eat them within a short time period. They can be kept in the fridge or the freezer to prolong their freshness.

Are you certified?

Yes we hold a food manufacturing licence from Brisbane City Council, and, apart from the newest additions, our range of foods is also Vegan Australia certified, and we are also planning to achieve Coeliac Australia gluten free accreditation. We have had our cookies tested for gluten by a NATA accredited laboratory (April 2022) where the result of the test indicated ‘no gluten residue detected’ ie less than 4ppm (parts per million) of gluten residue.

Do you deliver?

Yes! Mandala VGF delivers its range of packaged cookies right across Australia. Some other foods (either unpackaged or temperature sensitive or both) can be delivered locally or picked up from our factory shop. For more information on delivery and local pickup options, check this page.

Do you have a shop?

We have a ‘factory shop’ at our production facility at 5/124 Florence Street Wynnum – check our opening hours here.

Are your products available in shops and cafes?

Yes! Capacillios Cafe and Coffee N Bricks Cafe in Wynnum stock some of our foods – check them out on our Cafe Culture page. If you own a cafe or a shop and you’d like to stock our products, please get in touch!

Are you environmentally friendly?

We like to think so,  but – as with everyone – this is a work in progress! At this point we…

  • keep packaging to a minimum
  • use biodegradable packaging products where possible – these are generally compostable (unfortunately not home compostable)*
  • take all our organic waste off site and compost it
  • recycle all glass and bottles, hard plastic, tins, aluminium foil, paper and cardboard

*depending on where you live these may or may not be able to go in your green waste bin – useful info here
